As a range these wines reflect the no nonsense Emilia Romagnan attitude to wine. Yes it is important but it’s the food that we are after, the wine it aids the journey, makes the heart sing with the easy fruity accessibility of the whole caboosh.

Stylish fruit forward uncompromising in its easy drinkingness. This is party/barbecue fare as are all the E Got wines. Very forward and full of bright juicy fruit. Delicately herbaceous fragrance, lightly spiced with cherry notes. Rounded, prunes on the palate. A suitable accompaniment to any meal, ideal with full-flavoured rice and pasta dishes, roast and grilled meats, cheeses.

Cevico are the biggest company we deal with and they are big indeed. Fourth largest private winery in Italy but we like them and for some bizarre reason, (must be our smiles) they like us. They have a bewildering array of wines, which is actually testament to how good they are. They make wines that are specific to the regions where the vines are grown and they keep that typicity to the forefront as much as they can. We’ve also discovered new wines and regions that we would never have heard of before. Borgo Eliceo DOC anyone? It is pretty cracking actually.
