For quite some time we wanted to make our wines available to the general public, thus transforming our wine venture from being purely a specialist wholesaler to one with a retail outlet too. We knew there was demand for it, also circumstances were favourable, and so 2011 has seen this wish become a reality.
From our friendly and dynamic warehouse-shop just outside Chester, we now offer all our regular stock, i.e. the popular wines from our portfolio that have featured in restaurants and bars around the UK for a number of years, plus bin-end offers and new lines that, as retailers, we now have the pleasure to introduce to our customers.
We think that price does not have to be a barrier when buying wine of true quality and our range starts from around six pounds, though we are gaining a positive reputation for our bin-end bargains, and for the superb quality of our more expensive range. We strive to offer a truly diverse choice of Italian, Spanish and French wine that, as we are direct importers, you will never find on any supermarket shelves.
We believe in the passion and care that our producers have for their products: it is, in our opinion, a key factor when selecting the wines that we are proud to present to our customers. If we weren’t here selling the stuff we would be there making it, joining the family in Italy!
The majority of our producers are small/medium sized family businesses with whom we have established a close working relationship. If you share our love of excellent quality wine produced with outmost care then we are sure you’ll really like what we have to offer. We can give recommendations on wine food-pairing, help you out with choosing wine if you have a special occasion coming up, and we also provide a gift-wrapping service.
